Pslams 8: O what a mystery!

4 times in two days, was led to read this passage. Somehow there must be something God wants me to learn.

1 O Lord, our Lord, your majestic name fills the earth!
Your glory is higher than the heavens.
2 You have taught children and infants
to tell of your strength,[b]
silencing your enemies
and all who oppose you.

3 When I look at the night sky and see the work of your fingers—
the moon and the stars you set in place—
4 what are mere mortals that you should think about them,
human beings that you should care for them?[c]
5 Yet you made them only a little lower than God[d]
and crowned them[e] with glory and honor.
6 You gave them charge of everything you made,
putting all things under their authority—
7 the flocks and the herds
and all the wild animals,
8 the birds in the sky, the fish in the sea,
and everything that swims the ocean currents.

9 O Lord, our Lord, your majestic name fills the earth!

"Probably David lying on his back on the green meadow at night, brooding over the mystery of the moon and the stars and the littleness of man in the total scheme of things, worshipping the God who had made him only a little lower than the angels, was a truer man than the astronomer who in his high pride weighs and measures the heavenly bodies. Yet the astronomer need not despair. If he will humble himself and confess his deep inward need, the God of David will teach him how to worship, and by so doing will make him a greater man than he could ever have been otherwise."

- A.W. Tozer (Root of the Righteous - Make Room for Mystery)

O what a mystery. Perhaps sometimes we just need to stand, stare and be in wonder of God's majesty. Open my eyes to see...

"You have taught children and infants to tell of your strength,

This is another part of Psalm 8 to study, besides how God created all and gives heed to humans, as undeserving as we are.

Before they even realize what their learning, we are talking to our children about God. Before they are 5 years old, we are programming their conscience. This child is thinking God's thoughts very early in life. OR, the child gets programmed watching TV, or by other parents, because Mom is too busy, Dad is too busy; they learn "there's no God, and if there is He must not be important, because my Mom and Dad don't pay any/much attention to him." All of our consciences get programmed; it all happens before we are 5 years old and long after.

Program your child to think God's way; His way is the best way; turn to the word of The Lord. Not to people telling you I think this or I think that, go into the Bible and the scriptures of old will guide you on the wise path~ give you discernment to tell what is right and what is wrong. Be there for your child. Reprogram his/her mind. The way Americans think minus God is scary.

Don't let your child watch TV all day and be programmed in the world's ways; be aware of what they are doing all day if you HAVE to leave them with someone else.

Pray; let your conscience let you know if your choices are right with who you are leaving your child with. God bless you.
