ummm We put the 'I' in Ink....ring a bell? it's the ACTabloid!!! A day after the cheesy slogan of cheese puffs (ahahaha) we get yet another weird tagline...so now ACSI gets its own newspaper/tabloid...what are the suggested topics? here are just a few:

DISCLAIMER: this is a spoof lor...if some of the ideas are seriously good...then wadever. :P

1) They will definitely write something about girls in the school...after all everyone's emphasizing their presence (all the teachers...LADIES and gentleman)...it's not like the girls are not sick of it themselves. Anyway DrOng cracked a pretty bad joke today telling the JC guys what they were missing out on.

2) Oh yes, the way the school utilizes its new 'resources' is amazing...first the cheese puffs then the dance (which wasn't too bad actually)....I mean at least it was the girls who wanted to put up an item (or was it?)

3) Ratings of SAC food, queue lengths and all. (then WantonAMerah will score low for queue length)

4) Comments on the IB tie :P

5) Ian's personal column...where he contributes a weekly random column speaking on some weird and obscure topics...also feasible is the BDFM column

6) 'Why (x+y) = (x+y)cube'

7) the Celebrity news....rumors and the low-down on teachers??? but then i don't think anyone would be that interested.

Then again we can't have such liberalism in school...as Daryl speaks of his article written for the tabloid on the LDP...'a large portion was edited'....

so starts another chapter of student's freedom of speech in school :)

As i periodically change my blogskin like a snake...i leave out links to everyone...wahaha...sorry guys..but i had to be fair to philip...after all he was left out..so might as well everyone. I shall be antisocial.

Then again..have you guys realised that i reply more readily to the beeping of msn messenger recently..i have turned over a new leaf.

Now for all u swho don't play soccer out there...or at least not crazy enuff to play during recess...here's a story to think about:

we went to play, the express guys came, lots of hesitation but we played them..and we did a pretty fine job..thanks to ppl from the express on our team as well :). However, we were on the basketball court...and on the neighbouring court were the ppl having PE and the PE teachers. Someone whacks the ball too hard, flies into a teacher, they let us off. Then it happened again...they confiscated it. We went forward with a sincere apology...saying not to play if we took the ball back or sth. But the teacher ignores us....here's kenny's dialogue with him.

Kenny: We're sorry, it was an accident, plz let us off and can we plz have the ball back?
Teacher: No
Kenny (worried): kk...how about we get ya a drink and then we have the ball back?
Teacher: you could...but i still won't give the ball back
Kenny: What if we took back and don't play anymore
Teacher: Still won't give the ball back *strolls ard and doesn't look like he cares*
Kenny (pleadingly): so what can we do to get it back?
Teacher: I dunno...i really dunno (with that nasty tinge of sarcasm) *strolls around..doesn't bother*

I would have not mind not getting the ball back...for all I care...or sean cares confiscate it and sell it away or sth...what i would have appreciated though was a little bit of respect when we were trying to apologize. It wasn't even kenny or I who kicked the ball into the PE ppl, nor was the ball ours...but still we went up sincerely to say sry...all humans deserve some respect...that was all i wished we could have got. Instead we got ignorance.

Anyway...i don't know how the story ended...where's the ball now sean?

Mr Azmi was cruel today..i got another 30 pushups..and he doesn't visit my blog anymore...so i will self depricate in rebelllion. I am lousy :)

I heard he spread it to his Year 5s...choosing instead to take fines of one dollar instead of pushups...for fear the guys will go low on the pushups to look up something....absurd thoughts...as lejon commented.

Sir: Go group dating...but remember to keep your pants on.

oops am i spoiling his reputation...no offence sir...just joking..ummm you can gimme more pushups but i doubt you'll ever read this post..haha:)

bye everyone

'Do you change skins periodically like a snake?' - Ian
'You're the male version of a slut' - Mr Jonathan Ng
'Why you've grown thinner' (in various languages) - My extended family members
'You have a lousy sense of balance' (after tripping twice during soccer, and slipping on the drain during BB) - Fab
'For Christmas i'll send you a mug...you mugger!' - Adriel (yes the head prefect is a bit lame)
'I once saw this girl on the street and almost thought it was Tim' - Mr Azmi
'I'm disappointed with you/everyone' -Xunliang

more to come once i jog my memory

until then...i played drums for church yesterday and my legs went totally jelly :P yikes...thank God i made it through

oh yes....i forgot one more thing from our Art Club discussion yesterday...we're going to redesign the IB tie!!! Apparently Mrs Sharon Woon thinks that it stands out and everything...but i think we all agree that it looks awkward...as Derek would say, we should just wear pants with yellow stripes as well.

Along with the IB school tie was sean's suggestion of redesigning...*gasp* the girls' school uniform. Having been criticized as shower-curtain like and pointless eye-candy that will result in a plunge in academic results....some ppl feel that it is necessary to redesign it to something better. Sean prefers a curved shirt bottom instead of the rigid straight cut that it is now....in the end we scrapped the idea that redesigning would just lead to worst designs that might be even more outrageous..if you know what i mean

Ian you must remember to SMS with your name in the future...Mr Alvin Tan almost didn't know that you were the one who was sick.

with that...i end of this post...feeling really glad...the first night i actually have nothing to do but slack a bit...a well-deserved break :) perhaps i should give some time to God...oh gosh it's tough to be a Christian.

i think tim is back to normal...i'm not going to do emo posts...that's something that umm ian likes to do ??

Ahhh i need to read more chinese stuff and practise reading aloud more....after all loo wasn't very happy with the reading today by everyone...saving our face of course was ian (thanks!). Anyway....got a long way to go...reminds me, when we go up to IB, will anyone of us actually drop chinese for another language? Hopefully not...it's so sad to drop a language that has followed us for 10 long years.

Other than that...today's fruitful Art Club Meeting and forecast of events: (btw Art Club is now labelled as an interest group...not a CCA...)

1) 'How to draw a straight line without a ruler' week
2) 'How to draw a perfect circle' week (competition included)
3) Making a sock puppet
4) An idea that truly Rocks!! (this is a secret...ha! you'll find out soon enuff)
5) Wire Bookmarks???
6) Painting shoes??? (By now we get bored...lejon goes cranky as well)
7) Computer design?? (blogskins yay!)

ok i gtg...it's late. i got tuition work to (try to) do
What am i doing at this time of the night/day? physics...bah...IB life is getting really tough...and i've seem to forgot my ABC commitment...but oh well.

I found out how absolutely lonely i was today in school...outside of a group...i'm really quite lonely. And as everyone enjoyed the first free period we had today, there i was standing outside the corridor and wondering if my parents were right...i think i'm an introvert or something. So i shed a few tears in private outside and waited to see if anyone would come...nah..not a chance. Of course i'm back to my bubbly self again once i'm back in class.

Such is me....there's a side that's not seen by anyone...only God knows how i feel. And that's why only God can be my bestest friend. I'm not saying i don't have any frens that care for me...that's definitely not true. I'm just saying..sometimes i reflect about myself and realise that i'm so lonely and...pathetic. It doesn't help being 'academically excellent' if you don't have any social life or frens to share the joys and sorrows with.

Maybe that's why i fear next year's IB reshuffling of classes most...because i can't make frens...i'll probably be an outcast or something.

such is my life....

Tim is back from kluang and seriously going to be back in blogging busiiness....doesn't matter if you guys don't want to read though :P the good news is that i have finally caught up to ian...we're back on even terms after the kluang trip..a new beginning and everything...yes (tim stop deceiving yourself...your blog is dead) yay

My comp was just infected by a trojan...in a few seconds i saw tons of pop ups of email scanning...this is when norton becomes your enemy. No worries..i found out there was something called 'system restore' after one year of this computer.

I have decided to change my habits of daoing ppl on msn and now i shall attempt to reply anyone who messages me..unless it begins with a 'rawr' or sth.

My password was changed to 'cleftis'. I now declare that as word of the day...go and figure out what cleftis means (by any means...googling...) and post it...i have no idea what it is...but i hope it is nothing weird. Thank you sean's email!

Here's the first attempt at defining 'cleftis'...contributed by sean :)

- seann_ is[sues] "the chongwee show!" // onli on BDFM, channel 69 -.LimIDTS`'- says:
IT"S A PW
- seann_ is[sues] "the chongwee show!" // onli on BDFM, channel 69 -.LimIDTS`'- says:
it's not supposed to mean anything zomggggggggg

My internet adapter can't work :(

Blogskins have gone on a standstill due to school and lots of work...i have 9 to date...so you could always go to blogskins.com...search 'limmdt' and find my stuff....it's not great...but i'm quite happy that i managed to conquer html and css

THE KLUANG STORY [finally]:

I shan't drone on and on...but i shall highlight a few highlights of the camp (haha):

1) Mud and Rain. Simply said it rained on the first day and it set the mood for the rest of the camp...dull and sad...until the third day at least. Needless to say, we got brown feet and toes for most of the camp

2) The first night was full of chongwee laughters....three word story's bawdy jokes, and the neighbouring tent's crazy pokemon game, where they messed up with names like korbat (that's a neopet...btw) and said that tangela was a big tangled mass of ****.

Nvrmind...i got my sleep.

3) Lake water feels good when you have nothing else

4) Friendships...something i would love to discuss later on in this post....

5) Patrick (aka blue boy) was the real joker throughout the camp...and my tent was nvr short of laughs with his antics....be it playing ace of spades in hearts....or playing queen of spades to win the set...or wearing his buff shirt...of course i give it to dan for cracking the jokes.

6) I sleep talk and dan sleep talks and ding sleep talks :)

Ok...now my discourse on friendship......

flashback to sec1...i always had a close clique with fab....coming from p1 all the way up...this was expected anyway. We remained as close friends...and we did our ISO together with Elliot on left handers and right handers. Still remember it was a time when the ACPS ppl were still closely bonded and everyone resided in their own school cliques. That time i was still relatively close to ppl like jin and maybe even elliot...but time does funny things to your frienships.

Fast forward to sec2...busking was a major event in my school life....the formation of the Lim Clan was a milestone...up to now...it is a term that characterizes me and probably of the fading links between Derek, Ian, Sean and I. That time we were so close...we went for sleepovers at sean's place...and did many projects together...stuck closely...chatted alot, probably something to do with fab not being in 2.13 that resulted in such a new friendship. I still held on to fab...trying quite hard to maintain that promise of 'best friend' with him..but it was difficult. Slowly i drifted away to the Lim Clan ...and it was a great experience.

Sad to say..from there it's been a 2 way split. Derek and I (bonded through SMP) and Ian and Sean (bonded through...ummm mutual attraction?) I wish i could have maintained the relationship on ian's side and sean's side...that's why i still try to participate in their convos...but i've realised that you can't be a close friend to everyone...and slowly our interests have differed and we have drifted....still i try to speak more often with those friends that were once close but have slowly drifted. I kinda miss Sean and Ian's company.

Another milestone was Ken Wei...most ppl don't have a good opinion of him...but we had quite a relationship going...till his separation to NUS High destroyed it. Still we have occasional reunions...but honestlyl...ken has his own clique and i'm the outcast in it....honestly...i'm an outcast almost everywhere.

On to Sec3. Fab returns...i think that's when i realised i had to amend my friendship with him...i did so..but at the expense of Sean and Ian. The BB freaks become esp. close due to BB...and Bong starts to speak up and in a way SK was something that bonded us too (but hopefully not the strongest thing that bonds us). Still Sec 3 was a story of BB bonding...and that leads up to this year.

Honestly Ding and Fab are probably the closest friends i've got...and sometimes i might get a little too close to them (Ding gets annoyed by doggish behavior). I'm actually quite an outcast in class...not v. outspoken and when there is lots of commotion...if you look carefully...i'm always either standing in a corner looking on at everyone's fun...or trying to integrate myself but often to no avail. It's quite sad...i think my social life is crappy. But i'm trying.

I treasure my friends...i miss my friends...and i shall make an honest list of my close friends and friends i hope to grow closer to:

Close: Fab and Ding
Closer(this will be long): Lim Clan, Dan, Bong, Kenny, Chongwee (a very caring friend indeed...despite his sometimes weird tendencies)...and the list goes on. only time will tell.

As i move up to IB...i feel the need for lasting friendships that will survive the Year 5 split..and it starts now...this year...the last year we'll all be together as one GEP cohort...

Let's make this one fruitful year and forge friendships that will last an eternity! Not forgetting that it is God who provides for fellowship and helps to sustain our friendships...hopefully you guys read this...*crosses fingers*

G is for....Girls....hmm that's the first thing new that comes to mind :P Yes and i honestly admit that Tim has his problems with being around ladies other than his own cousins. Not that Tim is the only one who finds this new....even Drong and the rest still say..Good morning gentleman (then like an afterthought) and ladies :) you can't blame me now. Walking along the corridor and seeing spanking new female toilets...the feeling is a bit odd, but we'll get used to it. Makes me think about next year's life....really will miss all my frens in the GEPer clique when we get mixed together with all the other express IB sec4s...new experiences we will have to get used to :(
Notice that all-boys and all-girls schools usu are the ones with better academic performances...sometimes makes me wonder why?

H is for....honestly...i don't know...help me!

I is for....IOC!!! what in the world??? Scary stuff....i won't even want to talk much about the 12 minute oral commentary that we have to prepare spontaneously and the fact that they will eyeball you when you stand and do nothing....it is just scary! Something i don't think i will look forward to, but then again will try to take it as it comes.

D, E, F!!!

D is for.....Drong....yep we're getting project 120 and we still have to pay 35 bucks for a bomber jacket that is compulsory for IB...man, we're fortunate to have the scholarship (at least some of us) Anyway, the target is 600...some ppl's dads can fish that out in a jiffy but i probably have to go out begging again....now how do you put on a sincere outlook? 35 bucks!!!! that's like the chinese books we're buying...and i betcha that they hope we grow bigger from year 5 to 6.

E is for.....Express classes. Starting this year, i still don't know who the bio teacher is (he's not even in the staff profile!!!) Anyway, being with the express class wasn't that bad....but we still felt like strangers and nvr spoke up. Express ppl kinda make funny jokes that sometimes do not make sense...yea it's quite a different culture. But then...it was the first lesson, soon it will all be fine (or so the saying goes). Anyway the teaching speed left much to be desired...could have been faster...but at least the teacher engaged the class and we had quite a fun time talking about how we could kill a person slowly by dripping purified water into his blood or suffocating on Carbon Monoxide.

F is for.....Feminine side...or rather the literary side that Mrs Mervlyn Goh would like us to get soooooo in touch in. So we did a bit of reading...realized that tien hated texts that went on and on and got no where. I don't read much but i guess if i did get down to reading i would actually quite enjoy reading books...just that most of the time i'm either doing hwk, resting a bit on the comp, or doing hwk :P. Anyway the IOC thing is sooo scary, what in the world, a 12 minute impromptu speech to be prepared in the span of 7 minutes? that's not even a 1:1 ratio....and it's not like we can speak nonsense, we have to speak about a text....nvrmind i do hope my love for lit will get better and better....ha! i scored 12 in the test! that is second highest in class. :)

By the way...wad's this thing abt the song 'Tim, I wish you were a girl'???? it's not funny

First Days...tsk

SCHOOL'S BACK!!!! Now that school's back i can finally have a blogging life again!!! Yes i know i missed the new year's resolution, or the 'great events of 2005' post, but still i finally have something to blog about again!!! Now...Dr Ong did say something about the A-Z of the new experience of being in Year 4 in the new block...i think i'll go slowly..starting with A today, and then that will last me 26 posts! yay! Then again....i better do 3 letters in one post.

A is for....(Mr) Alvin Tan...well a teacher i've nvr met personally b4...but from past experiences always thought of him as really strict...but from today it seems that as long as you behave yourself..well he can actually provide lots of fun for the class, at least he has that sense of humor...lol the formalities of voting class committee when you know who's unaminous...or his semi-democratic way of voting. Personality is always so important in determining a person. Mr AT is just like Mr Azmi or even Mr Sim, friendly when you behave and nasty and strict when you don't :P

B is for....Boys' Brigade....this year we're finally taking on the duty of looking after our own batch of sec1s....first the recruitment drive...terrible, our banners are either falling apart or they are not supposed/allowed to be where they are...how disappointing. Anyway the cool armor thing has also been criticized....what else do you ppl want? Back to the sec1s...the thrill is just so intense...being able to guide sec1s through camps and teach them stuff...and esp guide them spiritually...watch them grow up into capable students :) it's going to be enjoyable..and probably the main reason for my excitement toward sch this year!

C is for....(Ms Shue) Carolyn Chieng....I hope my first impressions toward her will change throughout the year....lol no offence but she doesn't seem to have a v.good sense of humor...and though tien was a bit extra in saying the stuff abt the circle...but i mean spontaniety is what IB is abt right...you can't blame him....but then Ms Chieng thought he was being a smart alec...heheh..now you know why i keep so quiet in class :P. Anyway i probably spent half the math lesson trying to wipe the whiteboard with a piece of tissue paper....and she was hurrying me!!! ahhhhhh.....nvrmind i guess i'll take it as like first time jitters or sth...as for the rest of the class...hopefully they'll have a better attitude toward her in the near future. Vaguely reminds me of BeePing....except Ian became math rep coz he 'scored highest in math last year' hehe :) sorry

That's it for today....hope sch continues on it's upbeat note that it started on today!
