MALAYSIA TRULy ASIA!!!!

ok from 7-11....after camp temasek...i wanted to blog...but well too bad...had to go off to malaysia for a holiday...wonderful indeed. Oh well at least it was a holiday and we had a relaxing time doing either nothing or shopping. well here i am trying to tell you something when i did nothing. In classic ian style!! (yay to keep to my quota of including ian in every post)

1) Tuas 2nd link...best time to use in the morn...worst on Sunday evening: was surprised at the ease of getting into malaysia by car compared to travel bus...ha! we didn't have to get off the vehicle, or put our bags through the dumb scanning machine...or wait a million years for the bus to drive to the right place....or wait in the endless queues to check our passports...and on the Malaysia side as well...totally cool! Then it gets bad on Sunday evenings....i dunno if you read forums recently but it was the same sunday evening...terrible traffic...at least 1 and a half hours on a bridge...and as good citizens we queued as other impatient cars cut lanes...opened new lanes...and used emergency lanes....I'm thankful that i didn't drink too much that day...imagine waiting for the restroom...>< So we spent an eternity listening to BBC

2) Nobody really cares about the red portugese building: Quite true...when there's stuff like shopping at Makhota parade for cheap goods....to eating the super good gula melaka ice kachang...to walking to some shop to buy peanut cakes and eat durian chendol....to simply staying in the hotel suites and playing taiti.

3) Girls can shop for realllllyyyyy long: Get used to it now....having a girlfriend next time will be tough...so i watch my cousins go on a shopping bazaar...and trust me when i say they can spend hours just to buy a shirt or jeans and stuff. The secret to long hours (i learnt this): visit everything single clothes shop and check out what's in store. I'd be satisfied with a few shirts here and there....but they go for around 5? Anyway it's understandable that guys can't shop for as long....almost every shirt/t-shirt looks the same, berms, trousers, so ordinary....girls have like a ton more stuff to shop for....skirts, dresses....let's just say the clothing economy is gender biased. Most of the shopping mall is for the opposite sex.

4) Burgers go Moo!: Wow i tried a rabbit burger...the crust was great and crispy...but besides that it tasted like chicken....ahaha...not much difference

5) I can hit the archery target!!!: I said hit...not bullseye...after my Camp Temasek experience...i was slightly better than a beginner but still really lousy...after all shooting like 5 arrows in CampTemasek doesn't make you any better does it? Still i managed to hit the rim:)

6) Never judge a book by its cover: I refer specifically to the breakfast menu....i see chicken porridge, i get fish porridge, i see omelette, i get 2 sunny-side up eggs....what's a person to do? And the 1 RM durians are the 'spoilt' ones :P

Well on the overall Malaysia is still underdeveloped compared to Singapore, especially in rural areas...but then again rural always allows for some fresh air and a bit of scenery and nature....something we need a bit more of in Singapore. However, being Singaporean...it's hard to get used to the more laidback nature of Malaysians....we want everything done quickly but it's different elsewhere...time passes more slowly...and there are longer waits and everything...then again it's sometimes good to just sit back and relax. That's what holidays are for i guess :)

Next up....LDC 2...the camp that we pay to get tortured...when it shld be the other way!!!!
To be continued....Camp Temasek :)

8) Army food...all that bad?: Yes, I got a taste of army food….and it wasn’t that bad…there was actually like Western Cuisine and stuff, all was good until Day 2’s breakfast which was this carrot cake that tasted like coffee…yucks…and they give you so much of it that you can’t finish. Then again we always end up dumping the food into the large dustbins provided, what a waste…but then again it saves our tummies. Besides that it was pretty good….every meal had dessert and even a soup dish…so we kinda lived the good life…I mean we paid 100 bucks so I guess it was expected? On a sidetrack...the army bunks were pretty good as well except that you walk a metre on the ground and your feet turn black with dust

9) Suigei Buloh has a lot of trees: We walked through the whole park for 'Maplestory' (ahahahaha), some kind of thing to help us to better appreciate nature...but then again it might have done the opposite. Except for the occasional monitor lizard, buzzing mozzies and ants...there was nothing to look at. It was some amazing race game thing and my team got all the fast forwards but ended last:) go figure

10) V, 11, V, 11...the basic rules of inline skating: Yay i finally get a shot at inline skating...however it had to be done in smelly and stinky kneepads...as well as soggy helmets that had already been used by others like just a few moments ago...yes it was horribly inhygenic...:( Anyway i found myself standing on a pair of skates and moving at a measly speed slower than walking...but it was ll for fun...and those who could skate already went to play hockey

11) Hip Hop dancing is queer: Yea we try all kinds of stuff...including this....so the music booms and booms and we try with stiff bodies the slick moves....i think we were pretty bad but everyone was just as bad so noone laughed at each other...but the instructors must have had a ball of a time watching us trip over ourselves.

12) Lelong ah!!!!: Pasar Malam on the last night....we used like monopoly cash or sth to buy the stuff so within minutes all the cash was gone....i got stuck selling bookmarks..:P Lesson learnt, always save your money for the end of the pasar malam so that items get sold off at rock bottom prices and you can go around picking up the spoils...though with less variety than initially

13) Copyright infringements galore!!!: They used Maplestory, LOST, Spongebob Squarepants, War Of the worlds and Fear factor as names of activities...that's copyright infringement...well they got away with the 'original' G101 (golf...ahaha) and gunGbound....which is one letter short of infringement :P

14) Friends...sure you make a lot of them: Just want to name them in case i kinda forget them in the future...which i will :) hehe. Jerome, Jakes, Danny, Thai guy Thanan, Jeffrey, Wei Yang...and all those in the Knights....had a great time :)

continue with....(oh yes) malaysia holiday nxt time

sorry guys....recently trying to chiong chinese hwk (what's that? you may ask :P)

anyway trying my hand at making blogskins so maybe one day i can have a more personalized one...till then the end of holiday blues are getting to me....looking forward to christmas then after that nothing much to look forward to except a new school year...and that Kluang thingy...will blog more about the camps i had...but that's later on once i've finished the next essay :P

Tim's friendly reminder of hwk:
1) Essay on Science (EOS)
2) 8 Chinese Essays :(
3) Go revise your sec3 stuff b4 going back to school if not we'll all be blur like sotong

Saving Tim's Blog With this post :)

To all faithful blog-readers....you will be rewarded.......soz for the not posting, having Camp Temasek followed by a holiday in malaysia followed by LDCII is not the schedule i would have wanted if i had a choice...oh bummer, but now that i'm back, locked in the computer room, eyes half-closed....i think back on the past weeks, and no doubt...it's been eventful and memorable...a flashback to Camp Temasek in classic Ian style :)

LESSONS LEARNT FROM CAMP TEMASEK

1) Travelling up and down in BB full uniform is not the latest fashion: Yes you get stares from the public, comments about your shiny shirt sleeve (those are badges by the way), a crappy hairstyle after wearing the BB cap for hours and with a full pack on your back walking from YewTee MRT station all the way to Kranji Army Logistics Camp - it's pretty much a killer in itself, still somehow the Sec3s made it together (Fab, Wes, XL, Bong and Me) while the Sec2s hitched a ride from Caleb on the cab...boooooo!!!

2) They rig everything: I'm referring to the group choices, all sec3s had put same order of preferences for group choices....but very apperently they just rigged it randomly and we all ended up apart, at least i got in the same guild (hahaha a Mr Sim rip-off) as Shaun. And if you hadn't read the previouis post i was in the Knights guild!! Pretty sad though, we were in the saddest guild, our guild master didn't come till very late and stuff and we were pretty much alone and unmotivated...but we did get our act together eventually.

3) I cannot rockclimb for nuts: Actually i almost did....stupid rock was just tilted at some weird angle that possibly nobody in the world could climb. So i tried once and failed, and i tried again, made it a bit further, hit the dumb rock and failed. And as i watch almost every other person scale the wall like a squirrel up a tree, i realise that perhaps i haven't done enough pull-ups...or my thighs are just weak and lousy....fat....(that was NOT self deprication) Anyway i will try another day...rockclimbing is not just about strength, but strategy...aha!

4) One girl, many guys...hmmm: One girl guide in the midst of like 100 guys....must be tough on her...Wesley thinks that she's probably super despo because - girl guides don't get anything out of Camp Temasek (unlike the NE badge for BB boys) and it costs much more for ppl not in Boys' Brigade to go for the camp. Anyway, spare ya the details....i thought she was pretty lonely so i tried to like talk to her a bit and be more accomadating...though she probably got the wrong idea and daoed me for the rest of the camp :) Tim is such a loser with girls :)

5) Golf actually takes skill, and there are like over 10 different types of clubs: So yea we went golfing, tried the grip, did the sticking out butt thing for position, and tried to hit the ball, failing more than half of the time :). My best shot probably went 2 metres out.

6) Paintballs really are PAINtballs: We go to the Amoy Quee NCC campus...(familiar sean?), try game of paintball, and then i was probably too gungho, went forward too much and kena hit on my hand....well i wasn't that pain, but there was a 10cent coin red mark and 2 vampire-teeth -like marks...looks more painful than it actually is. Picture F&N flavoured balls, 'shoot me in the mouth!!!!' Anyway in my opinion it lasted too short but at least we got to wear the armor that made us look like Halo 2 characters (in the same way i stink at Halo i was crap at paintball). And on a lighter note i survived wearing shorts and playing paintball by kneeling more than half the time.

7) I don't know about SonicFest...but is the focus on God?: Sometimes we get carried away by music...third night, concert, Dream Factory played a couple of Christian Songs like 'Here I Am to Worship' and 'Tell the World'. Sure we sang and danced, and i tried to whisper a few prayers to keep on focus on God....but seriously, it's tough to keep the focus on God when music is being blasted into your ears! Nothing beats a silent QT with God at night...which we didn't get much of since there was little time anyway...well Christianity and a walk with God was never easy.

to be continued (4 days time...church camp sorry)...i promise...or this blog will die!!

then there was the gu(1) niang(2) clap and the usual macho and sexy clap things....those weird things they make you do at camp..yet making you feel good doing it...though essentially it is quite stupid looking :P

next post will be on the camp itself

gunGbound@temasekIV and SGB

First off...condolences to JLow who recently lost his dad to a heart attack....though i'm not that close to Jlow...but i feel gravely sorry for what has happened to him...i pray his family will be able to take the blow and that they will remember that one day they will see his dad again in heaven :)

Well i'm finally back from gunGbound@temasekIV camp and in a word - very tired....so many things to blog about and so little time...I think I will flash back to the Sharity Gift Box of 29th and 30th of December, then follow on to a recap of the camp...nice and organized...yes :P

SGB: 29th November
As usual there was the introductory video that made Mr Alex Wong 'want to cry', but make us want to fall alsleep coz we've watched it tons of times...lol just joking...Anyway, there was the new video on how to address the public...and we secretly gawked at the boy in the video who was stiff....mechanic(eyes wide open)...and whose lines were seriously scripted. ('Sorry Madam, i cannot provide an answer to your query, please call the sharity hotline at 1800- SHARITY, or at 1800 7427489")

Anyway Ding and Xunliang were there...and that day we arrived at 730 though the thing started at 830...big waste of time...but it was fun catching up with all the Sec2s and Sec3s....

All my SGB years have been spent slogging in the warehouse and making delivery visits...so this year's posting to a Wish Tree was a pleasant surprise. Unfortunately...Xunliang was left behind....while Ding and I were posted to Allston Hotel (think air-con). Arriving there, the hosts were seriously well prepared and ready to receive us and teach us how to perform duties....surprised at their on-ness...:P

At the wish tree, we get people to take wishes of the elderly/children and fulfill them, eg. childern wanting a watch...and a kind person takes the wish, buys the watch and returns it to the wish tree for delivery....a personal touch to Sharity Gift Box. Most of the people who came were the hotel staff...and i think we must have stayed there for like...hmmmm 6 hours??? Entertainment came in the form of occasional blackjack (and the hotel people always saw us slacking when they came...pai seh), chatting with hotel staff...or simply greeting everyone who came into the hotel with a smile....which landed me with a stiff face at the end :)

Then there was the scottish guy who was from BB, who treated us as tourist attractions and took photos of us with the christmas trees. There was the card trick guy who did tricks on me...to the annoyance of his wife :)....and the guy who went in and out of the hotel at least 8 times...well it was interesting. Most were foreigners so we didn't get a huge response. But at least we got to eat in the staff cafe :)

SGB: 30 Nov 2005
After the previous day..hoped to be posted to somewhere nearer home....maybe Jurong Point or something.....and i had wanted to go with sam chan so we tried to rig the sign in chart to put our names together...unfortunately...everything went wrong.

Posted with my senior who i didn't know very well....and posted at (of all places) Marine Parade!!! i found at that 196 takes horribly long to come (are you reading this SBS?). NTUC at marine parade central...unwillingly...we both dragged out the big box...and put it outside NTUC, sat at the benches and braced ourselves for a long long long 9 hours. Fortunately, there was company in the form of both my partner Justin and the public....by the end of the day....justin and I were established friends ...they say that tough experiences are bonding experiences...and 9 hours outside an NTUC...with only a bench to rest on...is pretty bad.

We took half hour shifts...walking around..collecting money...advertising SGB....for 9 hours!!!!!!!! that simplifies my blog post alot...just remember...9 hours!!!!! it was bad! Anyway...at least my dad drove me home at around 9 pm....

The public were mostly open to the SGB...and we must have collected at least 20 dollars worth of ten cent coins...everyone used us as a way to dump their spare change from NTUC...the box was located next to an ATM...and while people were shifting through their big notes..they took out coins and dumped them in. In the end...it was the older generation and the parents who responded most generously...while the youth and younger folks were more 'stingy'.

haha we splurged our remaining 20 dollar allowance on sushi!

well it was a meaningful experience....seeing how the public responded to SGB...and realising that many are unaware of it...and that publicity is indeed important...unfortunately couldn't participate in the delivery aspect...so missed out on the most meaningful part...hopefully next year :) kk i'll post abt CAmp temasek in another post....or this will be toooooo long :)

sharity gift box.....past 2 days couldn't blog...too late now to blog....next 5 days at camp....soz guys.....just too bad :(

Saturday, November 26, 2005

Well it's been an eventful few days....and i think it's finally time to blog again.

recently i've been leaving my QT for late at night...and i think it's been quite horrible, i know that God doesn't mind meeting us at any time, but at the same time, i few so guilty for not giving Him my best time...but instead the worst time when all my mind is telling me is to go to sleep...:( i hope He forgives me....I also don't know why...but recently i haven't been able to feel His presence during QT...maybe just a bit...but not alot...maybe it's something up with me...too many worries? sin keeping me from Him? i hope i find out soon. It feels terrible not being with God, then again i always feel that burden of doing QT...and i wish one day i can say 'Let's do QT!' with the same enthusiasm as 'Let's go play comp!'

My bro got 231 for PSLE....he's so disappointed...missed ACS(I) cut off by 4 marks...hopefully he can make an appeal though....and ding...that does not mean saying 'My brother is v.smart so let me join the sch'. Sometimes i pity him...hopefully he's not comparing himself to me...that would be terrible..well we all have our own strengths and weaknesses....and i'm sure he'll discover his own set soon :)

Today was soccer...and arjun getting reported to SPCA for injuring that poor rat...such a sad sight....a graze on one side of the body...the size of a ten cent coin or maybe twenty cent....bleeding...ow >< Then there was arjun's antics....go pick up the ball...kick it forward...then it falls back into the ditch again. Whatever it was...it was a good game though it was a wet day...Thank God for the fellowship. Then there was ding's bro si han :P who was playing with peeps twice his size but could compete for man of the match due to his brilliant goals!

ok gtg...maybe tomorrow...and why am i reading chronicles of narnia?

Monday, November 21, 2005

Well well....who's caught Harry Potter's movie as of now? apparently my bro hasn't, and well he hasn't read the book, doesn't want spoilers, but as with all 'muggles' or normal people, we all want spoilers...don't we? Anyway, i am no longer a Harry Potter newb, at least now i know the rough plot of the whole story....interesting how anyone could have come up with such an elaborate plot, matches or even supercedes Tolkien's Lord of the Rings or Star Wars. Either way, i think the publishers who turned rowling down intitially must be feeling more than just a pinch now :)

realized it took Harry Potter and Chamber of Secrets 3 years to come from cinema to TV, then again a bug's life took 4...and some nvr made it anyway...*waits another long long time till episode 3*

Sean finished riviera.....in 2 days...!!! i took forever!!!!! this is crap....nvrmind....i think i practise too much. Anyway, i think i'll just go get the Cierra ending as well...it's too late to do otherwise anyway

Anyway there was the walk along almost the whole river valley road yesterday, and i realized that it is actually quite long and tiring....then again taking bus 11 was nvr easy. Bus 260 is much easier (you don't know what bus 260 is? it's a taxi...) well ok i gtg bb

A Harry Tale

"<yeangyeang>: ppl dont tag because your tagboard is hard to find. not that i get a lot of tags, but, yeah."

first things first the tagboard is at 'speak up' in the top right hand corner of the blog. if you don't know how to click, then you wouldn't be reading this post now (technically no....but then i'm trying to make a point)

btw i happen to do play pokemon....last check i probably finished or gave up at the last part for all the games that pokemon has tossed to me...of course after some time i do get bored with the same concept over and over...pokemon has the highest replayability ever, then again....it gets boring after some time. And yes sean i still remember the stupid bean thing that i couldn't access because my VBA emulator wasn't the latest version. I think recently i just ditched riviera for golden sun....i can never seem to complete games...but that's supposed to be the coolest part...the cliched endings!

anyway....today went with Fab, Xunliang, Mr Sim, YangJian, Adriel and Patrick to watch Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire!! wow whee. We thought the place was pretty empty and waited alwhile b4 getting tickets...bad mistake, we end up with front row tickets and now i think i may need a neck brace or sth. Nevertheless, anyone who's watched the previous episodes won't be disappointed.....yes lots of eye candy for either gender (all girls' and all guys' school :P)....plus that prof Allister guy has his eye and fake eye thingy on you!!! I shan't spoil it for anyone...go enjoy the show....but i have to mention that someone dies :( and yea it is definitely less playful than the previous episodes...darker and scarier. I think i shan't comment for fear of spoilers...maybe next time.

Then there was one of those mad arcade games, those drum things...except with guitar....oooo we got totally pwned by the noob lvls. :)

Home alone today, bro at fren's, parents at seminar, so i'm so lonely...fortunately went to my couz's house for some company, found out to a certain horror that my couz plays maple story, then watched some chinese shows and well that's basically it today...gtg now...have to wake up early!!!

GBA games to try (which i clearly haven't):
1) Sword of Mana
2) FF 1 and 2
3) HarvestMoon
4) Fire Emblem
5) any more???

i forgot to mention that kirby was quite fun!! kirby and the amazing mirror....

Skiving on the comp :P

hmmm sry no posts for alwhile....too busy fooling around with the GBA (it's Game Boy Advance if you don't know...doh) emulator (yes i cheat!!!). It rocks to have an emulator, you don't spend hours deciding on what game to buy :). Yes several games have been played like crazy during this holiday...and i think i'm getting hooked...oh noes....nvrmind...as a pressure to those around me i am 5/8 through my 8 horrible chinese essays...but i haven't started on the EOS :(
yes i have been skiving.

Here is my list of GBA games i have tried...just to show those who think i do nth but study all day that i actually play comp games!!!!! btw if you like RPGs all the following games should be pretty good. In no order of merit:

1) FF Tactics Advance: (yes we remember this) Moogles and Vieras are cute (wait i didn't say that).

2) Golden Sun 1 and 2: (actually just one, but my bro played up to two...too much time liao) Yes not much of a storyline, but the graphics are fantastic for the limitations of a GBA, and the gameplay is engaging. Psyenergy!!

3) Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga: Yes back from quite long ago, ask sean. This game is pretty fantastic, the way it's played is unique and yes the mario bros are hilarious as always. but then again the last boss took me like half an hour, and sean cheated with gameshark to give the brothers infinite health and power...:(

4) Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap: Ok not much of me playing, more like my bro again. Then again it looks quite fun. Link looks so cute in the game, not more than a little kid running around with an oversized head and a sword half his size...with a minnish cap named elzo (yes it is a bird thingy) that shrinks him...haha

5) Riviera: The Promised Land: Oh well, an RPG with a guy followed eventually by 4 girls, yes
there are multiple endings to this one. The interaction between characters is a unique concept (think something like dating sim, yes you choose which girl you want through the things you say). Of course there's the conventional storyline and the fighting, levelling and stuff that comes with all RPGs.

6) MegaMan Battlenetwork 3,4,5: wait have i really played so many?? yes i did. Ok in short there's the interesting battle concept of using chips and then running around and stuff, and there is still a storyline in place, making this game even more enjoyable.

and then there's my brother with maple story, yes killing snails and funny stuff....then again i used to play it and got bored......well any suggestions of good games are welcome...but atm golden sun is confusingly long...:P

Blog depression

Well i dunnno why ppl don't want to tag...and i think i really don't care anymore, if they don't want to tag or don't want to click an extra link for tagging...then i'm fine, i guess i will spam my own tagboard. This i probably what they know as Blog depression.

Just as a country goes through several stages in growth, a blog too will go through the same stages, i think i shall highlight the stages and a few of the characteristics

1) The New kid on the Blog (Block):
At this point in time, the blog has just been started, the user still happily enthusiastic, posting a first post that shows many signs of unsureness and anxiety....at this point in time, the blog may not even have a tagboard yet, and may still be unknown to the blogger's friends. The purpose of the blog at the preliminary stage is most likely curiosity, maybe wanting to catch up with the trend of the times, or just wanting personal rambling space. Blogskin is usually one of those provided by blogger.com.

2) Growing Phase
As a blog grows, it is slowly linked to the rest of the blogging community, eventually a friend will find out that you have a blog, either that or you simply cannot resist telling that you own one. Either way, people start to visit and read your blog posts. A tagboard is set up for those lovely tags that everyone goes after, the number of tags is proportionate to the popularity of the blog, or how unique and interesting you are. You are basically a loser if you have no tags. At this point, there will be many welcome tags like 'nice blog' or 'hello' or 'maiden post' or something like those.

3) Golden Age
The highest attained lvl for any blog, when the blog is updated almost everyday and the blogger is enthusiastically posting interesting and stimulating posts. The tagboards are flooded. At this point in time, the blogskin has most likely been changed, possibly from websites like blogskins.com. People may even talk about your blog in school! wow!

4) Plateau and signs of aging
Most bloggers eventually get here, the original enthusiasism soon fades off, and the blogger, realising that he has many other commitments, decides to blog on alternate days, even daring perhaps to skip 3 days without a post. Nevertheless, the blog is still visited, just less, and the tagboard is tagged on at least every 2 days. The blog is still alive at the very least. At this point in time, a change in blogskin may be implemented to perk up the blog again.

5) Stagnation
Tagboard left untagged for 4 days or more. Very soon you realise that the tagboard remains untagged forever. The blog is visited, maybe once or twice, by certain faithful people. Perhaps it is still being visited but not tagged on (which seems like it is not visited). The blogger may try to change blogskins, post sth more controversial, post more...to encourage tags, but oftenly to no avail. Pretty soon the blogger gives up as well...leading to

6) Death of a blog
This either signals the start of a new blog at a new address, or the complete resignation of the blogger from blogging, certainly a saddening event, and most often caused by lack of tags and encouragement. From this death onwards, the blog remains as merely an archive of past events and most people would probably forget it forever, even the blogger himself may forget. The tagboard is fossilized, the blogskin never changed again. Maybe a few comments on the deadness of the blog from friends, but it would never be enough to start the blogger up again. how saddening...we all get here eventually

I think i'm at stagnation, but that's just me...wondering about you guys....ian's probably still at his golden age, going strong even after 2 years plus!! as for me...you know retirement from blogging may also be a good thing...one less thing to think about? bye bye then

I miss all the tags on my tagboard. depressed

Best ways to increase the number of tags on your tagboard:
1) have a tagboard
2) Make the tagboard accesible and visible
3) Change blogskins (my latest discovery)
4) Change blog address (from eric's discovery)
5) Post random stuff (from ian's discovery)
6) Post controversial stuff
7) Spam tagboard by yourself (desperate attempt)
8) post a post like this and hopefully your friends will listen

but then again i did say b4 that it's ok for this to be a personal blog...and that i shouldn't be out to blog becoz of tags!! ahhh i'm contradicting myself.

Coy Camp Reflections

Back from BB camp, it has indeed been a hectic 4 days and i'm relieved that they're all ovr. Now as with every camp, there will always be the unforgetable highlights. Firstly i would like to thank God for granting every single boy the strength to run this camp and having his hand ovr the whole event. Also like to thank God for inspiring me to bring across the spiritual message of the camp, i hope that all the boys will continue to remember the camp not only for the fun fellowship but for it's deeper meaning.

1) Advance party, we got the seafood bee hoon from mr azmi's mum, and as his scouts would say it....BAGUS! anyway, we went on rambling on how the sch was especially freaky late at night (I'm not the first to comment on this). I also found out that again that it wasn't smart to bring a sleeping bag along, then not use it and end up freezing to death throughout the night. Plus there was a furious thunderstorm that shook all the UYO cabins. No skirts this time, i promised.

2) Wing Time the nxt day, that means free time at Orchard road. Suaku little me attempted CS for the first time in many many years and i can safely say i got pwned, but it was partially because i always respawn in front of the enemy. I also tried DOTA for the first time, i see stuff moving and fighting but don't understand, then i decide to stop multi-player and i actually played the campaign - in a LAN shop. What a waste of LAN time!! Yes i remember also us staring out of the windows in one line looking at a bunch of girls playing hockey (i wasn't there). eyes focused on the lower portion of the girls though...wonder why

3) Shrooms burger meal at $2.55, yes a mash potato, burger and drink for $2.55!!!! Ding will be sooo pleased, and so was i actually.

4) Then it was between Sky High, Zorro and Exorcism of Emily Rose. Sky High - too juvenile. Zorro - who cares...probably end up zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. And Exorcism's trailer was freaky enough to deter half of us. I ended up spending 2 hours in burger king sleeping and koping the vacant tables. So i heard that YangJian and Ian Liew left halfway in apparent shock at the contortions and the funny stuff. And the rest came out exclaiming it was a good movie. Controversial indeed. Anyway catch it yourself....i watched the contortion part on a trailer and i never thought i second i'd watch the movie (neither did bong). Anyway, it all adds up to Harry Potters' fault, if his movie could just come out earlier. Plus it was 10 bucks for a movie!

5) We take an MRT back to buona vista, take a bus back to sch, drop our bags and in half an hour, we take a bus back to buona vista to eat at ghim moh, frankly ding would be ashamed of the shameless waste of ninety cents.

6) Night Games 1 (conventional CTF), there was an injury (Matthew Chua's bro), but besides that, i ended the day nursing my sore pimple, my smelly feet, and a host of other things. At least sleeping bags were good. Problem though, we killed 5 cockroaches in our room in 2 days, that's an average of 2.5 cockroahes a day! (v.smart tim) Anyway, i decided to sleep on a table...hehe.
Slept at 1 am that day

7) Church/Siesta for many ppl, i think it is wrong to sleep in church but many ppl could not resist the urge. We saw eric and daryl from the top deck and were pointing and waving to them, but i think they did not want to associate themselves with us so they left us alone. Sad

8) Wing Time 2! Went down to Clementi, and for the second time, fast food, it's starting to get a lil bit disgusting!Mostly boring, had a short soccer match back in school. Then it was the Esmond crisis, we had like this kinda court scene thing with Esmond defending and everyone else giving comments on what he had done in the camp. Yes he and his friends are actually mostly ok, it's just that occasionally their attitude can be improved upon.

9) Well the highlight that day had to be Vishnu's murder case game. It was fun playing 'Stairway to Heaven' to set the mood. Investigation of a murder case, interviewing suspects and stuff, but with a ghostly twist of ppl jumping out in gorilla masks and horrible red food dye to scare you! And yea lots of silly forfeits as well: singing songs, catwalking like models around the oldham statue, seducing the oldham statue, doing pushups with a person's mouth below yours (Alex's idea of pedophile)...i didn't have to join in as i was the squad i/c but i thought i shld be fair to the sec2s and 1s in my squad. Jack Tay was horrified and kept repeating the thing from Emily Rose (At 3 am, the burning smell and then the door opens and shuts)

10) On the Exorcism thing, Adriel had quite violent objections to it as it may undermine our trust in God, somehow i agree to an extent, it is dangerous to dwell into stuff regarding the spiritual realm and i don't think i would ever do into such stuff unless supervised by someone really experienced

11) nxt day was truly just a slack session with card games. I taught Joshua how to do the 4-pile card trick :). Anyway it was a day with 169 news on SK, mafia, more mafia, murderer, and other funny card games. And yes the card game speed against Jack can give you a massive heart attack

12) About Jack Tay, i guess i made quite an ok counsellor today trying to find out what was up with him Mostly low self-esteem that was developed over time, yes his problem was developed, he was not born with it. Always reminds me of louis except kinder and more pleasant in nature when he wants to.

FINALLY, reflections on the camp and being camp commandant:
Well sometimes i'm a bit soft, so i cannot command the necessary respect from the company, plus i'm like indecisive at times and i forget stuff occasionally. Hate to offend ppl, again adding to my softness, when i'm with sec1s and sec2s, i'd rather be like the friendly good guy than anything....but of course that makes me the 'goody two shoes'/ Well it's my nature, suppose i'll have to live with it. I pray that God will continue to show me the needs of the BB and the needs around me, helping me to reach out to those who require it! This camp, most of all, has taught me to rely on God more than ever!

Ppl have been saying nasty things about this blogskin, First off it is not immature, it is anime and if you have no liking for anime i think it is better that you do not comment on this skin :), and yes we are working on a skin for mr azmi. Second i am not horny, it just happens that i enjoy the winter feeling and that all anime skins have girls in them...ok almost all. The funniest one i've seen is a 'guy' and girl where the 'guy' is obviously not a boy as 'he' is wearing a skirt. Anyway i will not change blogskins in a long time because it is tedious. Plus points, this skin is nice and neat and does not spill ovr in the fast becoming famous mozilla!

i have finally linked phillip, i found out it did not happen last round because i missed out on a ' " ' sign (that's an apostrophy!) wait my spelling is bad.

ow my left middle finger is hurt and everytime i type the letter 'e', 'd' or 'c' it hurts!!! plus my right toe got horribly injured in the sean bdae party. Which brings me to that....as ian said, i think it wasn't the best idea to invite the HPPS female company along, because they were obviously left out in a lot of things...like bulldog....and after tons of years in BB, it kinda gets you a bit upset as we BB ppl have the word 'unity' strongly imprinted in our minds and as Lilo says, no one gets left behind!

Mr Azmi did not get to say goodbye to us and i feel so sad we left him out the last part. Si yan came for one hr then left....again quite disappointing considering that now fab and ding are my closest frens in sch.

fab has been going crazy with the chicken little dance, the numa ei thingy. Yes it is quite annoying when you hear it every sunday while sitting in the Macdonalds in Causeway Point chewing on a burger when a chick with an oversized head appears on the TV and dances around, then it feels good when he gets squashed then like a superhero he resurrects and it gets annoying again. Cartoons never die.

then there was company camp, the spiritual aspect got me quite depressed and quite frustrated this week, but following a talk with Mr Sim, i felt so much better that God placed him on earth to understand how I felt and though he was mad he forgave me so that is something i will always cherish and respect him for!

Anyway won't be seeing you guys for 3 days coz i have camp...so see ya then...do not give up on this blog! keep admiring and criticizing the blogskin....and if it gets boring...there's always daniel to pick on....oops.

Seany's Bdae Party

You know wad i think i will comment on it tomorrow (IF i have time)

and yes i did change my blogskin! it is compatible with firefox YAY! but it has a girl on the front part and i think ppl will get the wrong impression again. I'm sry that i like anime and snow ok? it could have been worse...there were so many more feminine skins! no one makes anime skins for guys....it's a scam!

ok nvrmind, i shall pretend to be hungry bears about to eat hikers!

Monday, November 07, 2005

Ahh all you firefox ppl out there cannot view my blog becoz of the skin...soon i might have to revert all the way back to the previous blogskin...so boring....i liked the watermelons ok...:(

but then i like firefox too as it is hotter than IE (ahahahaha) so i'll have to make a compromise

but if all fails i just have to find a new skin which when posted will probably have anime again and then will probably commented on by all as feminine...and i will probably be labelled as some kind of pervert or something.

as to phil, i actually linked you then in cutting and pasting the design in missed the line where you were in...something must have happened...either way the link was not there...soz...i promise i will link you by this week before my camp. Then again...i am not the best promise-keeper.

ok then gtg....blogskins so hardddddd to find...so is planning the coy camp !!!

Saturday, November 05, 2005

woot back to old times....mr azmi may not recognize this old skin! david chan loves this...guess why. Finally started on my chinese essay, i'll be back later to comment more i guess

hey my blog is back alive!!

Friday, November 04, 2005

well well....if there's no comment i think i'll go with the watermelon girl by say...tomorrow?

Bulldog / Bullfrog for sean's bdae party...if you dunno wad that is..you'll just have to come and find out ahahah! just a clue....it's almost like mass taupok :P. Anyway, we had weird suggestions for sean's party yesterday, from croquet to religious debates to chess to 'dunk mr azmi', by the end of the convo i earned myself 80 pushups after a 20% discount since i was one of mr azmi's 'favorites'. And no i do not think that 1 pushup = 0.5 pullups....that is a horrible exchange rate, i shall use another money exchanger.

now wad shld i get for sean's bdae party prezzie....i'm so confused...sry sean don't be surprised if you end up with a book voucher or an ang pow...i rather you spend your own money than i do it for you since i don't know you that well yet :P....of course this might come across as like thoughtless or last minute....so i really don't know what to do...help

i must have spent 1.5 hrs polishing today...nvr trust the 'instant-shine' polishing kits!!!!! i had my boots shining the best they were ever, then i used the instant shine...and wham! usually it evaporates and leaves behind shine, but today, it evaporated and left behind a dull grey mess which took an agonizing 1 more hour to repair.

got tuition later...shld i go?

bb....! and scouts (haha bad joke)

1424....i will always remember that number, mr jonathan ng's previous safe password....so today we stopped all the clocks in the admin room at 1424 p.m. Then we write there is a meeting on Saturday from 1230 - 1424, then we write for a request to visit p1424 Singapura...so we made it obvious, he got mad, changed the code...and well.

still looking for a new blogskin...i should really revert back to the watermelon girl....anyone remember that one? ok i bet you do....:P anyway as ian has said that i didn't like feminine skins...i shall deny that....i'm sry but i kinda like a few of those...of course we don't go crazy and paint the whole screen pink...that is scary (heard that ian?)

ok keep cheering me on to find one.

i played 4 hours of com today....feeling bad...haven't started on any chinese essay or EOS for that matter. Ding feels that 2 hrs of com is hardcore....hmmm that's innocent of him...don't corrupt Ding

gtg bye!!

Lim ClaN : here ya go[10:54:07 PM]

Lim ClaN : i was waiting for you to come online for a lonnngggg time[10:54:34 PM] JustMe: thank u[10:54:47 PM]

Lim ClaN : hey there are 3[10:54:50 PM]

Lim ClaN : take the last one:P[10:55:22 PM]

Transfer of "P1010022.JPG" is complete.[10:55:23 PM]

Transfer of "P1010021.JPG" is complete.

Yay i am free! i have sent the pics to Mr Azmi, you can view them on his blog soon and we can all laugh at each other for looking so dumb...i especially like the candid shot of Mr Azmi...brings out the animal in him :P

About eka's comment on ian's blog:

JustMe: disturbing[10:58:34 PM]

JustMe: eka is deadmeat

Simply wow....yay!

Well now i gtg...been trying to look for a new blogskin...i like winter so i search that up and more than half the blogskins are 'feminine' .....there is either a gender bias or sth is seriously wrong.

NYAA is soooooooo tough...i really do not like logging but i don't have a choice

recently i haven't been blogging at all...or even doing my normal homework...past few days it's just been O lvls, and lots of worries over BB stuff like the company camp, bringing quite a bit of stress. I feel quite useless as i haven't even touched my homework yet.

Yes it is quite odd that out of my 3 CTs and PCTs, 2 of them do not teach me. And everybody was quite delighted that we got Loo as PCT...because perhaps it is a good omen and signals the passing of our present Chinese teacher. Ahh we have 8 chinese essays to do....i say this as there are still ppl who are unaware of the homework and still living in self-delusion.

Deepa-Raya, then again i'm going out to do stuff these 3 days so it's not much of a holiday anymore, today had BB stuff, tomorrow have BB stuff, and thurs has BB...no wait a minute, church stuff. That leaves me with no time to do homework, no time to blog, no time to play com or piano, no time to do wadever i want....it is therefore quite a crappy holiday

Wow i'm invited to Sean's bdae Party....so cool....wonder wad are we going to do? get lejon along and we can drench him in coke again.:) (probably only Sean would remember this....)

I know i'm a short and sweet blogger, i don't go on forever and ever and ever and ever and ever on certain topics (oops). but of course that kind of rambling makes blogs interesting, which probably explains the sorry present state of this old blog...10 months old...woot!!! But this week has been encouraging, i had at least 6 tags on my board in one week! that's like half of what ian gets a day...which is....good?

yay all continue to provoke daniel on my tagboard.

you know...the hols are so bad...i have nothing to blog about

Monday, October 31, 2005

i.....shall post tomorrow :P

Wednesday, October 26, 2005

Yes you've seen the previous post....when daniel recites it, it sends many many giggles down my spine.....the rook game is just bridege in disguise....sometimes i think teachers confiscate the wrong thing....they go for the type of cards not the type of game...so in a way it is kind of contradictary in their purpose...just a thought.

Today there was supposedly Chinese opera, but it was canceled, we ended off with 7 hours of free time, the whole day! here were the activites for today....

1) XSH decided to go through the paper with us, probably the only useful thing we did today
2) i do my lying around going to sleep thing again, only to find chong wee sprawled over me...ok it wasn't that bad...i exaggerated
3) Mr Azmi treats us again, just would like to thank him for being such a joy to learn from, and indeed we owe you so much sir for everything this year!!! we have to repay you somehow huh?
4)Phase 10, Fake Rook (aka bridge), and confiscated poker cards by kwoh siew leh
5)Studying or trying to
6) 7 hours of battleship for Justin against Lejon/JLow....somehow they never got bored and PT boat is the most powerful unit ever! talk about self sacrifice. Also i found out how absolutely annoying it is to draw two sonars on one turn!! (happens only when Lejon rigs your deck)
7) SK session....the comps lagged
8) i think walked around and did nothing
9) Taking photos with Mr Azmi..(ahh i need to send them to him!)
10) nothing again

basically it's been a borrriinnnngg day and ding didn't come and will not come tomorrow...lucky fella...i also still need an IBA!!! ahh!!! nvrmind...i wish i didn't have to go to school tomorrow.

I found how stupid i am...i didn't know taht western culture originated from greece and christianity...(Sir, if you look at this sentence carefully, you see a farewell gift) :)

ok guys...gtg
A Blaze of Lightning...

A wind turned cold. Beware the power of the Rook. The eerie black bird can make all the difference.

Four players (options for two, three, five or six). Partner or not. You bid. You name trump. You take tricks(when you're lucky and smart). But beware of the wild ROOK! When he lands, everything can change.

A classic game. (A favorite since 1906. Oh My!) Easier than bridge. More challenging than Hearts. Custom-designed cards. Gorgeous. Perfect for a dark, stormy night. Bring home the ROOK card game and find out.

Deluxe coated cards for luxury "snap" and feel. Point value noted on each card for easier play and scoring. Contains 57 playing cards and illustrated rules.

i'm all stressed out....sleeping at 12 everyday has adverse effects on you...unless you are a regular owl...meaning you sleep at like 1 everyday, common examples include the seannus.owelus and the derekus.owellus. Besides that, do not try this stunt unless you are adapted to the it. Now, also, it has come to my attention the mass amount of workload that we have to bear, what holiday is there? There is EOS, thankfully i'm under Ms Phuan so that i'll get something done. There are 3 BB camps, because i'm a potential Founder's Man. And there is Church Camp. This is a crappy holiday, but again, when compared to people like Derek, i feel bad that i am complaining.

Which brings me to the science project thing that we were offered to do, seriously i did not want to do it because i thought it ate further into the hols, but then there was Derek who despite a busier schedule wanted to do the project. I don't know lah, just feel very bad that i didn't want to do coz i was lazy. In the end we still didn't do coz Ms Phuan said that we shouldn't start so early and aim so high now. Well i guess thankfully it's ok now, made it worse that i was really sleepy.

Post school activities:
1) At the start of the day, plan to play soccer, then later no time
2) Listening to lots and lots of presentations
3) Manifesto
4) Play Risk in 3.10
5) Listen to the loud and piercing giggles of chong wee as he tries to ace the card game
6) trying to study shou ce for chinese nxt week, then realizing that it doesn't make sense
7) sleeping on 3 chairs and my unused PE attire

I don't know what to do for IBA or AEM, it's gonna be a real tough year ahead. We need to look for job opportunities for the whole class.

haiz....

I have linked several pppl....go check....anonymous ppl go away....:P

Wednesday, October 19, 2005

nobody visits this blog anymore...nobody reads it and nobody tags *sniffles*

well i suppose it's partially my fault for not updating regularly and for not typing out interesting and thought provoking stuff for ppl to comment on...i guess i'm really not blogger material...well...i would now convert this to a private diary i guesss....a private blog....no one has to read it..just me and myself and my memories within. i want to hit at least 1 year old with this blog!!!

well speaking of memories i was kinda packing up my drawers recently...going through all the stuff inside, rumaging and seeing wad was still necessary and wad could be disposed of, and i came across so many things that brought back memories, gifts from my friends, the childish little pictures that i used to draw, my old hand-written diaries, my comics on 'Petmons', some 'anipet' game that me and sloke used to play in primary school...and wow...so many

recently helped my dad to total the marks and count the marks for the physics papers that he marks (2 and a half classes worth...:P). well i stumbled upon some of my old friends from fairfield....including...well my p1 and p2 partner whom i shall decline to expose, and a girl who gave me a little stuffed dog named sushi...awww

Today was exam results, let me give the gist....everyone says that i did well, and yea i can't say i didn't...yet i give the glory to God!!! somehow everyone always thinks that i don't sympathise we them...well honestly i cannot emphatise but i try my best not to comment about my better marks in order not to upset those less fortunate....such as fabriz.....i mean i try my best to comfort them and help them....and ppl sometimes think i'm being insincere....it just feels terrible.

inter class soccer today. one word....'owned'. yes we were owned by both teams and it was mostly my fault i think.....my fault i let sean down by not stopping the ball on the line...also my fault that i let the ball get to the attacker and let him score. Ding was fantastic the second game with many brilliant reflex savess!! well on a whole i felt that wad many teams lack is a sense of sportsmanship. Also i know winning is truly important, but sometimes i try to comfort everyone (again)....and get accused of saying crap.

oh well life's like that.

my holidays are gone ok....3 BB camps, church camp..fun? exciting? yes...but my hols are gone!!!

planning for the youth camp today somewhere in causeway point (burgerking) and i don't know why John says that i'm 'cute'....somehow i do not fit that profile....nope...i don't think so...

karaoke...han an overdid it. i think they only had JJ VCD.

cya then (wait who am i talking to? this is private)

Monday, October 17, 2005

Well the past few days can be summed up in one word : slack

imagine me playing 6 hours of com a day, doing nothing but play, gosh even the chinese o lvls don't bother me at the moment...though i'll probably have to get back to it like this week...anyway i have tuition today to kick start me up again....sigh

slacking...how? if it isn't FF on the comp (illegal download....if you wondered...oh no i exposed myself, i am gonna be fined) then its slacking with Lim Clan at sean's place playing HALO until we go silly.

Momentous Halo moments:

1) Ian tries to pull off a Mr Sim, saying Banshee tricks if you hold the X button...haha no fooling me!

2) Derek and I have improved...much to our surprise...i had a killing spree ok!!!

3) Sean totally pwned us in 3 v 1....but because we messed up the kill count with countless suicides in that map with the infinitely deep sky....just keep falling...

4) Derek: Tim Run Away!
* Tim's character 1234567890 runs away*
Sean: Crap! i was gonna snipe
Ian: Derek Screener!!!!!
Derek: I nvr screen, just saw your screen turn blue

lol

5) I won 2 of the rocketball thingies!!! yay.....

6) Ian, Sean: Tim stop jumping around!

7) Me driving a warthog to Derek's rescue only to splatter him when i arrive

8) The energy sword oddball madness....don't ask

9) lost the lead....gain the lead...lost the lead...gain the lead...lost the lead....gain the lead (try oddball for such an annoying effect)

10) refer to ian's blog (if he's posted)

Now i'm planning for 2 camps...company camp and youth camp (titled a quite cliche... 'an amazing gRACE)....it's not gonna be a real big thing....like only around 27 ppl stuck in one (hopefully big) bungalow in changi. But if any of you wanna join me its from 16-19 December. So now i have to design a brochure for the camp and write out a consent form.

well now...i think i am gonna stop to play FF.....lol....it's not getting boring yet...but you can win by randomly pressing stuff :P. tuition later...why on the holidays?

exam results soon....

post exam euphoria gonna end soon (hopefully)

i can't wait for post exam madness in class...who can forget the Risk and Monopoly fest?

Thursday, October 13, 2005

People who have asked me to link them countless of times but i have not yet linked!!!

1) Kaijun (just)
2) Kester
3) Zephy
4) any more?
So Tim has kept his promise

so there

Exams are over!!! *uses pheonix down on blog* back to normal (oh no....playing too much FF tatics adv)

lol i'll blog later...now i wanna slack

Thursday, October 06, 2005

Won't be posting for a week after this....

well slacking during the exam period must be a norm....esp after i spent like 2 hrs hanging ard in the BB admin room....playing STAR.....BB open....teasing WO Ben Chan and a host of other crazy and irrelevant to exam things....i just wish it would end soon so that we can have a break...a well deserved one.

well guys...the physics test today was kinda easy....but i can't believe that tien did not finish the chem paper...core math tomorrow....*crosses fingers*...at least i can wake up later and not have to stand at the class corridor for assembly where we are in the firing line of the sun!!

btw...math ws in the pigeon hole...go get them for revision (oops a bit late huh?)

edddddiiiittttttt

tim has tagged on his own tagboard to keep it alive...yay!! ok now i need to go study core math and not let mr azmi down

Scout Zephy the prosperous is a funny name...so is Seaman Eric!!! ahahaha...does ian have a UYO???

btw i'm counting on this blog to die...but i willl perform CPR on it after 1 week....or maybe somehow i can blog again in the next few weeks...but even with my limited st john's knowledge i know that CPR after 1 week is useless..

this is a pathetic blog...i understand why you guys don't tag....you know wad...i place my bets on ian's blog...there's some sort of commitment there!!! ahahaha

Monday, October 03, 2005

blogger is against me....last 3 times i try to access and it's down...i think blogger wants this blog dead

Saturday, October 01, 2005

haven't been posting much...sry guys...could i put this to exam mode for 2 weeks and kinda like revive it afterward?? hopefully revive

Tuesday, September 27, 2005

umm kester is bugging me to link me...but hey...i haven't linked anyone in ages...i'm just toooooo lazy...honestly..i'm really sorry but many times i just lack to commitment to link EVERyone and read everyone's blog...it is impossible.

recently everyone's been going crazy...our class with the addition of chongwee's giggles, a paper crane and ian's antics has become quite a bit more feminine...and we have to thank tedkin for providing some sort of balance....and i guess i make it a bit worse by being there..
It's a natural thing for boys to degenerate in an all boys' school....too bad

God bless Ian for his guitar exams!!! good show today at amath!

EEddddddiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiittttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt!!!!

well somehow because i see that ian is thoroughly offended by both LCE and the likes of all of us....shall continue to post in response.

well if you guys haven't seen the tag on ian's board...i kinda feel its important to repeat it here...not that i'm always trying to be the goodie 2 shoes or wadever...but i feel that sometimes we got to learn how to laugh at ourselves...to take a joke....a possible insult....or you know...the insult could have been unintentional and wouldn't be an insult if we were just a tinsy winsy bit less sensitive. Life would definitely be more positive and happier if we learnt to take the comments thrown at us and if we learnt to laugh at ourselves sometimes....

sure...you say i don't have first hand experience...well being top in sec 1 and 2 mean constant comments of being smart...whispers and joy when someone beats in in the latest zuowen...or other stuff....and after countless times of that...i'm still not really miffed (as ding puts it). Plus...countless comments have also been made about me....ummm how i'm like...how i look...that kinda stuff...but i try as hard as possible to laugh it off and get over with it!!!

Take it from one sensitive person to another...i think we should all be less sensitive....but to a certain extent...everything is about balance. Too sensitive and people will start to stay away from you....like who wants to stay near a bomb that's abt to explode...or someone who is easily offended....too insensitive and you'll be shunned from as well. well it isn't easy...i have my problems dealing with this as well.

as for ian and my previous blogpost...well i'm sorry if i was insensitive...but honestly...i think LCE really meant it as a joke...not directed at you and chongwee but rather at the class as a whole...after all it is not just ian who seats on people's laps...(or is it...nah). And yea if you just look at it from a wider perspective...you'd probably realise this as well.

btw i agree that Chongwee's a good friend...sure he seemed weird at first...but somehow he's always able to sense if something's up with you and then he'll come over and ask if anything's wrong...that kinda thing.....

well i gtg now...i hope ian reads this and i hope this will shed some light on the matter....lighten up! (ahahah pun) and then ppl will call me lame...but you know wad...i'll laugh it off :P

Monday, September 26, 2005

More exam rush...haven't been able to blog recently...i need to buy more cups...to MUG more!!! ahahahahahahahaah........

well ok nth much. this was a random post...so i expect random tags :P

Thursday, September 22, 2005

it is amazing how surprised ppl can get when you tell them you've been under the knife before...especially at the unmentionables. Yes it is not as if i'm a eunuch...i'm just possible jew...but i'm pretty sure i'm born right here on the little red chilli padi dot in the middle of the indian ocean.

And no it is not really that embarassing though i had to do it in primary 5. Was supposed to be when i was born...so i wouldn't remember or feel any pain...but then it was delayed to see 'what would happen' and i had to suffer in primary 5, this is one thing i'm still a bit upset abt.

And yes when it happens it hurts>< not during the thing...no during the op you're under this wonderful thing known as General Anaesthetic, and you feel nothing...but AFTER that...hohoho...different story. I couldn't pee i think...and they don't allow you to leave the hospital until you pee at least once..and trust me it took loonnggg. And wad do i get for enduring the excrutiating operation...and pretty certificate of ...get this....bravery!!! ahahahaah

back home it was big gigantic tshirts and possibly dresses for a week...bathing was a real chore....everything was horrendous...it wasn't abt 1 wk b4 i could wear pants...

welll i have now said all i wanted...i shall not tolerate anymore laughing at my condition...ha! well ok...i don't mind lah :P

physics study today, the list mr chan gives looks oddly alien...

well i did not get to do the eddddiiiiittttttt thing yesterday...and i don't think i'll be able to today.

Today was an experience unlike no other, decked in berms and short sleeve shirts, we enter the freezing auditorium and must have stayed there for 4 hours altogether, we hibernated, we shaked our legs, we banged tables, we made funny sounds, and all that just to stay alive. With numbed hands we persisted on writing, and i must have spent 1 hr on that comprehension. not only this, we arrive late for core math when learning a new topic. Though mr azmi did not seem very pleased with less than half the class still in tact, he did not get mad...which is a good thing.

The PSG sells healthy food on fried food day, now which one would most ppl choose? well because i am anorexic and bulimic i will choose the first

Ms phuan is out for some operation, dunno for wad, many ppl commenting abt her teeth...umm i don't think it's that simple. well we have bio free periods...is that a good thing?

ok i gtg....studying is a sian process

Tuesday, September 20, 2005

i dunno how ppl keep a rate of 1 blog post a day...i am struggling to survive...soon this will become a desolate blog, away from all life and ppl, and it will fade to become just a mere private diary...but seriously....i don't really mind. funny how ppl start out wanting private diaries and prohibiting anyone from reading at all, then they grow up, progress on and start to own blogs which they WANT ppl to read...or they'll just give up altogether.

Now i'm attempting an impossible stunt...studying the whole sec 3 chinese syllabus in one night..:) wish me good luck...i'm at chapter 8 and there are like 35 chapters....mind you it is 7 o clock...i have ard 4 hrs left!!!

physics was wasted today, the period we need most and the hcl ppl missed it

i wrote a lousy zuo wen today, and everyone rejoiced

if i have time, which i probably won't, i'll do that eddddiiiiitttttttt thing later :P

I'm soft....ok i'm not one of those SNAGs....but honestly i was born soft.

take today morn for an instance...i would have thought mr azmi would understand...but he didn't let derek and i go for an SMP meeting....i know it was for our own good....but...it's just...i dunno. So i sit around...apparently ok...but inside i was going to cry. Derek seems to have no problems...but i must be really emotional. When Fish and Tek came the second time to call us, mr azmi let us go....but i went with tear-filled eyes....dunno why....not because i kena scolded or anything...it's just that i thought we were misunderstood.....this wasn't our fault....so i just bear with it...

in the end we ask mr chia and he let us off, we come back...and i was real silent for at least 10 minutes if you didn't notice....after that i was back to normal and learning abt permutations.....

well i think mr azmi was just mad lah....coz like tien was already saying stuff like he wanted to get out of class...and the whole class looked like they couldn't be bothered...so maybe for a moment he just didn't understand....or asked us to stay in a manner that hurt....Can't blame him totally....

It's not that we want to miss class...many times i reject attachment programs because i don't want to miss classes...i nvr want to...when i'm sick i force myself to go....and just as a warning to mr azmi...nxt wk thurs the higher mother tongue ppl are gonna be at O lvl papers...just don't get mad again. I hate missing classes....esp math.

But maybe i'm just petty...which isn't exactly one of the 'male attributes'. Yes i can be petty at times but i try to forgive fast or think and reflect if it was my fault in the first place.....

but yea i'm quite sensitive wan....esp when it comes to offending ppl like today....i hate offending ppl...i dislike it when ppl are upset with me...it's just not a comfy feeling...so i'll always try to reconcile asap.....

well struggling to find time to study again...chinese zuo wen...all coz of SMP...sigh...tomorrow oso got...sian

"<Justme>: Come to think I met this girl once who I thought looked a little like Tim. Hmmm, should have taken a closer look..."

ahhh....at least it was the girl who looked like me and not the other way round!!!

*sniff* i guess if i'm without my specs on then the above statement is true to a certain extent....but why shldn't it be..? i mean humans all have the same DNA makeup for 99.9% or sth...and only the remaining small portion is different. X and Y are a difference of one place in the alphabet.

and btw i did all the stuff in the dark...so i had no idea how i looked....but if you ask me honestly....yea i think i could make a convincing girl. o.O

Bio lesson has taught abt a SRY gene where a girl can have the genetic makeup of a boy...yea XY girl....that's one interesting thing we get to learn in bio....well i nvr regretted taking bio over geog...though i missed having a cheery and exceptional geog teacher in mrs sandra sim....i've nvr regretted it....ms phuan is just as nice in my opinion...except that the rest of the class apparently does not think so!!

I'm doing flag raising nxt wk....

wad am i doing now??!! i shld be studying!!!

Wednesday, September 14, 2005

i give up, studying is too stressful...there's so much to do, so little time.....

SMP is a big burden as well. Youth Science Conference means i don't have Friday and Sat to study

staying up late nights

guilt at not doing enough....being too distracted....hopefully it won't affect performance.

well like i said...this blog and tagboard is dead...but just like Mr Azmi i will persist in posting. I will now attempt to post all i can in ard 10 minutes b4 i chiong study for half an hr and then go for tuition...:(

well well....BB advance party on friday was really eventful. Kicked off with me going much much earlier for the BB Exco meeting. Xunliang soon came along and we proceeded with the usual BB open game. The meeting was delayed from 3 to 4....lol.. Noteworthy things discussed included the well anticipated Amazing Race planned by Jianyang, Alex and I. Hopefully the planning does not go to nothing (in the case that mr ng bans the thing altogether). However...now the camp is to be organized outside of sch...that means sentosa...gb campsite or bb hq or sth like that...and that's better coz there will be No restrictions :)

Lots of problems faced...not enough cardboard...not enough scissors...but eventually we got our act together...evidently the admin is still learning as we enter the month of september. We spent the night making shields....with cardboard boxes...wasting large amount of scotchtape to laminate the boards....lol...shld have seen the disgusted look on Ding's face as rolls and rolls of scotchtape went into the bin. Also, me and fab create a uber cool water bomb catcher to catch bombs...unfortunately the next day we found that it was uselesss :P

Mr Azmi bought us supper that night, everyone got a burger and an apple pie...Thanks Sir!1 and btw...HAPPY BELATED BDAE!!! it was a wonderful night. The school however... was spookkyyy...yes the sch and the oldham head and the shadows flickering and moving across the walls....ever wondered if the sch was...*gasp* haunted?

It was a cold night....and the admin room was being blasted by a 16 degree celcius aircon....I couldn't sleep at all...cuddling up nxt to Ding was not good enough either....shld have seen all the weird stuff i did to beat the cold:

1) Talk to sleep...evidently did not work due to Emil's phone and other contributing factors.
2) hugging Ding: though extremely gay...it worked for alwhile b4 I decided to be more decent
3) Interlocking spurs of legs: yeah stacking legs upon each other for heating each other up...worked for alwhile then it got cold again...also the last leg on top always gets frozen eventually
4) Going outside to defrost: nope...when you went back in again....
5) ANd finally....the only thing that worked...though it was seriously embarassing...raiding the admin room cupboard for a blanket....sure sounds normal...until you consider that i pulled out a pair of long pants for Ding...groped around more and pulled out a skirt for myself :) So yes...surprised at how pleasantly slim my waist was...i put on the skirt and go to sleep...was the most comfortable the whole night....well we also got a couple of blouses out (weirdest things to find in a BB room) and covered ourselves....after that we went to sleep...finally. So yes...the first time that cross dressing worked out for a better purpose. of course...me sleeping nxt to Ding made it look all the more indecent...and trust me i will NVR do it again.. hopefully

oh yea...there were the cockroaches as well...luckily they preferred xunliang to us...:) and the cockroach ended up in a water bomb.

Nxt day....had a great time...splashing water on each other...and as a rogue i went around wiping ppl's life off...Galatia pwned all other wings by snatching all the 4 flags..the last 10 minutes was the mass free for all session...all wings ganged on us...and the whole galatia was practically surrounding and embracing the flags...not letting them go.

oh forgot...live praise went well as well....but now there's a new thing...mr ng commented that we needed to start witnessing and spreading the gospel as well...and we needed to have passion for the Lord besides only having the efficiency of admin work....well that's something to reflect upon...i hope the Lord gives me inspiration and strength to do this in the BB

well i gtg now...i have overshot my limit as usual...will continue blogging abt the past days nxt time....in installments :)

Wednesday, September 07, 2005

well guys...i'm sure you missed me :)

hmmm it's the hols now and unlike most ppl, i seem to have nth to blog abt, everyday has been a almost routine for me.....

1) wake up
2) Do my quiet time
3) switch on the com and play for alwhile
4) feel guilty about playing and proceed to do work
5) sometimes i play around and learn card tricks/play the piano
6) working for too long, super sian, eat lunch
7) go and play alwhile until my bro snatches the comp away
8) Retire and go back to work
9) eat dinner, watch tv, blog (like i am doing now)
10) realise i got more work and do.
11) stay up, more card tricks till i fall alsleep doing so

how fun...well occasionally i go and make an i/c at that place in lavender....or i go worship practise tomorrow....or i went for Exco meeting yesterday and then stayed back for a BB open duo with Vishnu....(ping pong ball rox)

today i chiong studying of sexual reproduction, and i take a tour of stuff that we've all learnt b4....was really really tedious lah....i nvr realised that sexual reproduction was such a looongggg topic and it took up like eight pages in my notebk (only PART 1!!). well ok....at least now i have studied and i can play alwhile...

but after that *looks at number 10 on timetable* looks like time to mug AGAIN!!! sigh

It poured today, and we wanted to go for youth outing...eee....unfortunately, i was nicely dressed in PE shorts and singlet....prepared for the kayaking today....so i was freezing by the time i had gone through the air con bus and walking under the later subsided rain.

first time in sentosa in over....ummm 7 years?

started with captain's ball...classic...well then we proceeded to dump hwee into the sea....yea carried her by the legs and arms and tossed her in :P...of course later in the name of sportiness we also jump into the lagoon, splash seawater around, play with seaweed and toss sand at each other...it must have been the weirdest sight.

3 on 3 basketball, i find out that i am not bad at basketball, i am VERY bad at it. I must have had a less than 25% success rate for scoring a shot, the trend was simple, whichever team i was on, the team would lose :)

ended with kayaking, but it started kinda badly, Uncle Wilson while pushing out the canoes, stepped on something, there was a small cut, but soon his whole foot started swelling and turned blue, we realised it must be some kind of venom....he stepped on a stonefish or something....the scariest thing was that it could have been any one of us, and it had to be him, poor guy....:( so we prayed for him, and he looked so much in agony as they wheeled him away into a taxi.

John, one of wilson's students accepted Christ....he's one of those poor thing christians, the parents force him to believe in buddhism and stuff and he comes to church in secret....we will surely look to aid him along his walk with Christ.

To those who may know (like Fab), Doreen passed away about a week ago, her heart stopped suddenly and yea...:( well thank God she survived for 15 years, becoz the initial prediction was no way pass 9 years. Well not that i know her that well, but the last time i saw her was a few months ago at preaching point...and was in her p3 class and in sunday school with her when i was back in the mother church....so saddening

well gtg guys.

Reasons for being extremely sleepy today:

1) BQ retreat....sub reasons:

2) Halo 2 for at lest 7 hours straight. Capture the flag and slayer were the 2 more popular ones. Me and Fab made a horrendous team while Bryan and Jerrold owned everyone with their 1337 skils.

Noteworthy events in HALO:

a) *somewhere in ivory coast*
Someone: Hey Fab, get into the warthog!
*Fab inches closer* Fab: ok
*As Fab approaches, the warthog speeds over and squashes him*
Cupid (Fab) has been spulttered
Fab: NOOOOooooo

b) *Bryan fighting with cool energy sword and rocket launcher duo (i.e most pwrful weapon combination)
*tim blasts the rocket launcher into Bryan* mind you i was on his team :)

c) Mr Sim: Hey Tim, you know you can do Banshee tricks in the air by pressing 'A' right?
Tim: Yea. *presses and Banshee spins*
Mr Sim: Now try another trick, hold X to do it
Tim: Ok *holds X*
*HAlo guy jumps out of Banshee, Banshee lands on Halo guy and he commits suicide*

d) Suiciding ALOT in Waterworks map. Score was finally 20-9 after 2 hours :)

e) Mr Sim: try driving up that rock tim...
Tim: ok *drives and gets stuck* AHH...*holds X and comes off tank*
*tank slams down on Halo guy...commits suicide* NOT AGAIN.

f) Flag to Flag melee combat. Capture the Flag in Coagulation, it is mad to walk from one base to another while carrying a flag.

3) Card tricks with Fab and Wesley, Wes finally learns the four pile slapping card trick

4) More Xbox the next day in some Xbox shop

5) we make too much noise, from next door and woman comes and screams at us
" You all make so much noise, i tell you, if you make noise one more time, i will get them to kick you out of this room. My parents are sleeping next door, and all night, you all make SO much noise, so annoying. I tell you again, i will get them to kick you out, you don't believe? TRY ME! I already kicked out a bunch of others from another room....try me* *stomps away*

6) Crash and BURN, we need counselling after damaging thousands of cars and blowing up millions of oil tankers

7) after that i wait 50 minutes at a bus stop for my dad, so sianz....

8) after that, the plan to go ken's house nvr materialized...i fall alsleep at home and later i miss an episode of LOST...boo hoo

I gtg...well thanks for the bdae gifts everyone! Mr Azmi for the wonderful watch and sean for the Kanji dictionary and Aunt Grace for the letter and email! Hammad for the email as well!

TEACHER'S DAY GREETINGS!!!!

in no order of merit:

Mr Jason Chan:
Thanks for bearing with us even though you always got the last few periods where we nvr ever paid attention. You always have a smile on and are always willing to lend a ear to the class's questions regarding everything from Wave theory to Snell's law. Staying back during recess to teach, and coming late for lessons so that we have free periods (lol it's a free period regardless). Dramatic in all aspects (remember...it's time for SHOW AND TELL!!)....you were great this year. somehow always overshadowed by the more dominant ms phuan though :P

Ms Phuan Siew Khoon:
PCT this year, lots of scoldings from you, sometimes even a bit ridiculous and illogical. Asking us to stand in 2 lines and still get the sun, the reccuring switching of of lights everytime we're noisy...but hey! some of it was for our own good. You spoke up when we were in the wrong and taught us the right stuff. Biology was really quite boring this year....sometimes you were kinda dry and lacked that sense of humor, but other times bio was a blast. From goat guts to frog hearts...you were always there beside us. Notably one of the shorter teachers and with the trademark buck teeth...but looks are not all that matter! will miss ya if you're going overseas next year....

Mr Azmi Azeman:
Had no idea who you were at the start of the year...some RI boy from cambridge. You are getting stricter but still as friendly as at the start of the year. Yes, a healthy balance between the respect of a teacher and the intimacy of a friend is very much required. You detest impunctuality and noise (yes i remember). Pushups and self-deprecation go together and the latter is a no-no. Though i have stocked up 700 pushups, you have been gracious and have not forced them upon me...even offering to cancel the debt this thursday....thank so much! It's been so great that we got ya on the year that we take 2 maths...that way we see ya the most of all the teachers...and it's been an AZmazing time...thank God. Yes, your guitar skills will improve, and one day you will fall to my tricks. :P

Mr Bill Chia/chia chia liang teh/Pex:
SMP mentor, thanks for the help. Missed you so much when you went and when Glynn Tan was teaching us, your sense of humor is set at quite a high standard. Heard you used to be a PE teacher..and we also feel you have the potential to excel as a chinese teacher!! The chem pracs were enjoyable when you were there, and sry i disappointed you when i overtook tien in the term 3 results, coz you expected tien to be tops, and i fully agree with that as well. sry also for snail-slow SMP report submission and poster making, me and derek are trying real hard.

Mdm XSH:
evidently the whole class is against you, but your patience is really commendable. Thanks for putting up with our antics and our lack of interest during chinese. You teach the most hated subject and the courage shld be well rewarded! I don't know if i shld be glad that i'm your teacher's pet, but well thanks for forgiving me when i forget to do my job in bringing newspapers, zuo ye books and zhou ji to class. Also, because of this pet thing, i rarely get scolded for anything, even a bit of chatting in class. My name is the most oftenly mentioned in your lessons for some odd reason...well...don't give up hope on us!

Ms Loh Chin Ee:
Must remember to bring crucible book!! Thanks for putting up with John as your illustrious language arts representative, not laughing too hard when i cast Arnold Schwarzenegger as Danforth, and being there to support us at the debate rounds! Loved the way you claimed that if we won it would be due to you and if we lost it would be nothing to do with you. The only teacher with an apple mac...bill gates wouldn't be pleased.

Ms Suseela:
Evidently the most stressed out teacher of all....so sry for the noisy lessons and the seemingly useless effort in trying to educate us in poetry and the likes. Again thanks for the help in the debate. Putting up with us is no joke, you're not the only one having problems, i have this feeling you might leave next year due to stress, but don't give up too easily, not all classes are as annoying as us and have Eric!

that's it i guess....hmm who did i miss? POD, IHS, PE, all the acronyms...i don't think i'll bother...:P

gtg bye!

Sunday, August 28, 2005

today it's all coz of sean so i'll post.

celebrated bdae with famliy at grandma's place today....things that have happened close to my bdae:

1) I become camp commandant for BB company camp, wad the. Well, hopefully God will lead the way and help me plan a camp that will truly bond the cohorts together! actually to be honest...camp chairman does nth except sit on a chair and order ppl to do things...i must work harder.

2) I have officially self-deprecated at least another 5 times within this week. haha, in your face sir! i think i'm taking advantage of this too far :P joking joking. i haven't self -deprecated at all lah, it's programed in me by sir already. lol

3) Fab bleeds....mr sim, kester, xunliang, emil and i visited him yesterday, ended up training mr sim's account in agility and stealing silk from the silk store. after that, we watch fab play castle wars and the hypnotic song gets stuck in your head after some time

4) BB OPEN!!! all are welcome, it's a spoof of table tennis using files and books as paddles and giant balls as table tennis balls. Adriel owned me, xunliang owned me, steven owned me, what can i say? i'm a newb to BB open, will keep trying to hone my skills in the art.

5) nxt week gonna go kayaking with the folks at church! yay!

6) Mango creamy cheese cake of doom for my bdae....*stares at paunch* oh noes

i have to go, exams in a month, better get worrying guys!

Friday, August 26, 2005

becoz of eric's generous comments on the tagboard i will persist in posting though it is way past my sleeping time considering i have to wake up by 6.30 tomorrow.

Ding thinks i am miffed (btw that means pissed) at him becoz he ovrtook me during cross country run...i deny all these rumors. Btw ding was fast i was not giving him chance. The run was pretty good, unfortunately kenny got stiched and derek was just tired. Ding persisted behind me and we crossed the finishing line (almost) together.

Poor fab, getting 4 teeth pulled out is really bad, for fab's bdae i will get him the tampon that his nick says he needs. In all my innocence i will ask an innocent question: what in a world is a tampon? i have a feeling it's a taboo word. btw, sir azmi thinks i dunno wad the meaning of sex is.

Mr Bill Chia's words of wisdom: to all those ppl who have bdaes in September, why do so many ppl have bdaes in september...well you count back 9 mths and you figure that most couples do it during december/november holidays when it's all cool and cuddly and the holiday spirit is in the air...ahhh

tomorrow is a mega tiring day, starting with BB in the morning and ending with BB in the night. gd luck to me and all those in BB :/

yesterday took a walk down to Ghim Moh and revisited the place of my childhood, Dover road block 14, just opposite my condo right now. I missed the big dining hall and the spacious apartments, missed the secludeness of the area and the peacefulness. Sometimes we think back on our childhood and the places we've gone to b4 and it just strikes us how beautiful the world was back then. In a word it's known as nostalgia. So the place now is upgraded with pull up bars and all, last nite i did 7 pull ups!! not in a row!! :P

also i stupidly try the foot reflexology walk, the one with pebbles and stones and i regret it 10 seconds later when the dumb rocks keep digging into my feet. wad a relief when you get to the part with the big pebbles...the small ones are just evil. like mr azmi's math bk

today in class ian and fab got their revenge on me, derek traps me by my legs and then they started to torment me with tickling...it was the most horrid 10 seconds of my life except for the foot reflex walk. I will get back at fabriz haha. BQ retreat is coming...i'm gonna get ya

After BQ retreat gonna go visit kenwei, i don't think i've seen him in a lonnnggg time, hope to catch up.

well that's it for today, i will now open myself up. *opens himself up*

btw i self deprecated today but to no forfeit because of the sacredness of my birthday, all my debts will be canceled! ha!

Wednesday, August 24, 2005

Mr Azmi says i shld open up more and talk more abt my life....he says i'm good at talking abt homework and math and stuff, but not good at talking abt my personal life and wad's going on. I guess this is all abt the recent problems i've been facing as well...and thanks for all the concern. Well it's not as if i'm not opening up, i'm trying :) and anyway most of the time i don't talk abt personal things coz there's no need to or nobody asked in the first place. therefore i cannot be blamed too much.

There will definitely be some things that i will decline to answer. About the problem i'm facing, i'm working around it with God's help. It's been around since P5, developed since lonnnggg ago in P1 and P2 i guess, so it's no easy deal. And there's no cause to worry too much abt me, i've been dealing with it for real long already, now i just have to face it

I'm not good at opening up anyways, but given the chance i would. Ok so ask away...i'll try to answer as many questions as possible. Anyway there's not much abt me, i'm just an ordinary guy , ordinary christian serving God in an ordinary world, trying my best to plz Him in all that i do, CE NCO, worship in church and recently in school. nothing more and nothing less.

My blog has been termed saintly by a few, and i won't change, sometimes i defend the teachers coz truly it isn't their fault but in fact ours. Sometimes i seem like a teacher's pet and all, but i'm not doing it for favour, i'm doing it coz i feel that it's wrong to accuse someone who isn't totally at fault.

ok cya guys, slp early for cross country, let us run the good race tomorrow!!

Monday, August 22, 2005

i know this is an ego post....but

MY BDAE IS IN ONE AND HALF WEEKSS!! yay!

1 september....teacher's day...easy to remember, i guess that's why everyone seems to remember my bdae...and plus...it's ALWAYS a holiday...now that's the best part. Nxt thursday...now kenwei is inviting me for some gathering ovr at his place...hmm TOS.

Well, 2 things i learnt abt ding today. One, he is taking his piano exam and is playing the pieces i have b4!! 2, he can bend his thumb backwards more than 90 degrees....it is really scary, fab erks out at the sight of it. Plus, Jin can do it too, so we conclude that ding and jin are relatives.

T-shirt design for my preaching point!!! yay!!! i spent like 2 hrs on a design and i finally created one....now i even use it as an avatar on my msn....chat if you wanna see...comments are welcome.

I am so short of stuff to post...i will not blame you guys if you do not tag...but plz do :P

Friday, August 19, 2005

MPP, me and jmac walk right past the Supreme court without noticing it...out of this world. We realise that if we had walked another 10 metres we would have reached the parliament house, instead we turned around and walked 400m in the wrong direction :)

And then while walking back from Buona vista MRT on the way back home...i clash into fab, bong and phil, who try to taopok me. 30m away from them i waved to them and they couldn't recognise me until we were closer...this is fab's testimony:

'Tim, we thought you were some ACJC girl walking back, then when you waved we were like, who the heck is that? why would we know her?'

i attempt now to clarify that neither am i from ACJC or am i a girl. And ACJC skirts are short...in wad way were my berms short? lol. i laughed it off...but this event really says sth.

Things i have learnt from MPP:
1) the parliamentary system is interesting...MPP was really intriguing and challenging. Finally got to understand some of the principles of government of Singapore

2)Ding and Derek are so pro at asking questions.

3) Always bang something and go 'hear hear' when you hear a super cheem point that half the time you don't comprehend.

4) never pose a question to the proposition when the proposition is your team :P

5) Jin can't tell the diff. between prop and opp.

6) The majority of Nanyang Girl's High is incredibly feminist....

7) Dunman did not prepare amply/ Dunman also were extremely uncomfortable with the topic of sex...so the nanyang girls were smart in choosing that topic to debate over. Dunman students totally collapsed. With points like 'Man can rape if the women consents to rape (oxymoronic)' and 'Men can force a woman to have sexual intercourse because the natural urge of men is to have sex'

8) Men is pronouned as Man...not as the 'men' in 'women'

9) i left my bag in the same locker as Gerald.

10) Ted Kin is a Malaysian Prime Minister of Singapore

16-12 RUgBY!!! Szus bro was like the man of the match or sth! 11 out of 16 points!!! pwnage!

Reasons to win rugby:
1) school honor

2) top boys' sports school

3) Just to feel happy

4) Most importantly to all the boys.....HOLIDAY.

by the way...i felt the jeering of the Saints was a bit too much. it's like everytime the saints took a penalty, we were really evil and booed them. Then when it was our penalty, we shut up. it was a bit unfair and definitely not a good show of sportsmanship. How do you balance supporting your school and giving respect to the opponent. In the end because of this i did not cheer as loudly for our team as i would have. It was no fair to the Saints....we were being proud and we were being unsporty. in the end we won...and the saints were still clapping for us....now that's sportsmanship. Also i did not hear the saints jeer when we were having the penalty, they gave the silence that was needed. That's sportmanship.

i hope there were some that felt like me.

talking about respect...today MPP oso, the Dunman ppl were being laughed at....and the whole house was being evil and laughing, it was hard to resist but the laughing made the students feel even worse and more uneasy, poor guys...at least some of us were controlling and trying to give them respect, i could see some NY girls who at least had respect and tried to quieten down. Also the laughing shows that, well, we are all still a bit immature on the subject of sex.

well i gtg, enuff for tonight...tomorrow has BB...haiz

HOW to be a social outcast:

1) well you take me and ding's surd bridge game, go to some place in orchard road, lay a picnic mat and start playing surd bridge, pretty soon people will come along and gawk at your geekiness and utter boredness.

'Geeks.....' 'wad's that? is that math? geeks!' 'Who are they? GEPers?'

lol ok enuff of that...it was derek's idea. well more abt the game thing...ding and i didn't exactly get the enthusiasm that we hoped for....esp. after putting in 4 hrs of work on those cards and 1 hr plus on the brainstorming of the idea. well it was not really welcomed and the loopholes were so many it was really really bad. Hopefully it'll catch on eventually, people seem to prefer just shuffling the cards. AND NO RIFFLE SHUFFLE Plz.

no tuition today...but i was only informed at 5:30....crap i could have gone and tutored Ramasamy but now i missed another session of SL...feel like i'm such a slacker coz i haven't been to like so many sessions liao...one thing is i really wanna serve....another thing is i really want some post-SL soccer too....:(

MPP. somehow i got involved in it this friday...must be coz i kachiao the MPP guys yesterday making the cards with ding...lol. Must support tedkin..he is gonna make one great speech...with his querky actions and unique accent. must support Ding too!! DISC!!! DISC!!! ok sry

Since i've read ian's blog on all the great things abt JooChiat...i decided also to talk a lil bout my hometown!!! Dover and the area around!

1) Lots of schools here....enuff for a lifetime or learning, you go from one of the many primary schs..FMPS, GhimMoh, up to ACSI or newtown sec, up to ACJC then end it off at NUS....

2) I lived ard this area for soooo long....when i moved house i moved from Dover HDB to Heritage View in Dover...lol

3) 74, 196, 33, 14, 166. The big five of dover....esp. 74. Oh and did i mention bus 11 as well? i use that one the most.

4) Roxors Fried Prawn Mee and Char Kway Teow at dover market, yea the old market...not the food centres. $2 only...makes the school ones seem like a ripoff. And recently there's a 7-11 put up there. Ghim Moh nearby has good Duck Rice (Johnson's Duck Rice) and Lotus Soup....oh and another 7-11, and Macs (no escaping from that)

5) Ghim Moh has this like 3km road thing to run across...use to do it when i was fat...but i dumped it coz it's tiring.

Well i can't think well now...give me another day or so...as of now...gtg study bio...cya
